Welcome to Mindset Connect! I’m Anne-Louise James, and I am a counsellor and social worker based in the Northern Beaches of Sydney who brings over 20 years of experience in the mental health sector, committed to guiding individuals through life's challenges via online counselling sessions. My integrated approach incorporates Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Informed Practice. I strive to create a compassionate environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered on their path to healing and growth. Furthermore, I assist individuals in developing strategies to overcome life's difficulties, create positive changes and pursue their personal goals.

Life Transitions: I help clients navigate significant life changes, such as career shifts, loss, or major life events, providing guidance and support.

 

Mental Health Education: I offer resources and information about mental health issues, helping clients understand their experiences and options for support.

 

Coping Strategies: I teach clients effective coping mechanisms for dealing with difficult emotions and situations.

 

Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques: I can Introduce mindfulness practices and relaxation techniques to promote mental well-being.

 

Goal Setting and Action Plan: I collaborate with clients to create actionable plans for achieving their personal and professional goals.
